Job Profile: Design Manager - ICT

Job Responsibility:

• Design and Approval of ICT, Security, ELV and specialised Airport systems to satisfying the functional and operational requirements of Client and also complying with the technical specifications as per the project schedule and priorities.
• Generate the design BOM and Material specifications for the ICT, Security and ELV system based on drawings for procurement of materials and equipments. Provide technical assistance to SCM team for wetting technical offers from vendors.
• Cost optimisation through Value Engineering possibilities for the project.
• Preparation and approval of Variation statement, preparation of as built drawings. Engineering document control for project, support to erection and commissioning team.

Direct Reports: Project Manager

Indirect Reports: Mr X – Head - MEP

Key Accountability:

• Reviewing DBR, Design Concepts & Technical Specifications
• Reviewing of Detailed Design Drawings, Calculations, System Architecture, SLDs and specifications
• Coordinate the MEP works design and execution.
• Reviewing of Shop Drawings & Method Statements. Lead technical co-ordination meetings.
• Adherence to cost and time schedules with an eye on cost optimization and savings on budgeted cost and expediting work ahead of schedules.
• Reviewing FAT/SAT and accepting the materials for Installation.
• Provide necessary technical inputs to Contracts & Procurement department to finalize tender.
• Preparation of As built drawings and take sign off from client

• Thorough in Understanding the concepts and client requirements
• Timely submission of drawings for approval and getting the same approved
• Regular interaction with site staff
• Attending meetings regularly and keeping records of the same. Drive Sub contractors for timely submittals
• Keep a track of the schedule and monitor on daily basis.
• Co-ordinate with subcontractor vendors in case of delay, Writing to clients on time for site inspection.
• Savings in Cost
• Meticulously prepare As built drawings

• No Miss out on any technicalities
• To have a control on Draughts men and the subcontractors for timely submission of deliverables as per milestones.
• To be a conflict resolver and help site team in achieving results.
• To have a positive outcome in all the meetings with results in our favor
• On time design completion
• Ensure timely inspection of materials so that deliveries can happen on time resulting in timely billing.
• Improvement in Gross Margin
• Timely Submission and handing over.

Qualification:

• Graduate / Post Graduate in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Electronics and Telecom Engineering

Experience:

• Having 2-3 years of Airport Experience and minimum total experience of 5-10 years in Engineering of ICT, ELV and Security system for Airports.

Adequate knowledge of ELV System including 

• Control room design, 
• ICT Active/Passive, 
• EPABX system, 
• Wi-Fi,

• Flight Information display system, 
• wireless communication (Active DAS, TMR), 
• BMS, 
• Fire alarm system, 
• Public Address System.
• ERP

Other Skiils: 

• Must be well conversant with MS Office. Knowledge on MS projects will be an added advantage.
